Geothermal Anywhere enables geothermal revolution by bringing radically innovative concept of drilling and transport of energy and material. Our innovations are protected by a patents portfolio and being the basis of a know-how based upon innovative application of proven technologies.

This solution is suitable primarily for extreme pressure and temperature conditions, and has all pre-requisites to meet the basic requirement – linear price growth with bore depth. Among others, our concept includes following technical innovations:

  • Rock cutting method based on high energetic electrical plasma. Technology is compatible with aquatic environment in the bore.
  • Principle of transporting energy downwards to the rock cutting aggregate and extracting rock upwards to the ground.
  • Proven rock cutting technology modified for physical conditions of the bore.
  • Autonomous drilling control system working at high temperatures (300°C - 400°C) and pressures (1000 bar).
  • Continual casing process parallel to drilling process.

Research Center for Deep Drilling Technologies

On November 10, 2010 were officially opened the laboratories - Research Center for Deep Drilling Technologies. They were built by Geothermal Anywhere in the premises of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. It is a result of long-term activities whose aim is to support the geothermal technology research and development in Slovakia.

The main goal of new laboratories is the research of special generator system for disintegration rock in deep conditions based on pulsed electric plasma. This research would solve exponential price rise of deep drilling. A multidisciplinary approach must be guaranteed because of the difficulty and complexity of the whole process. In this process, new knowledge is needed, particularly knowledge from physics of plasma or new materials suitable for extreme conditions. Very important for the research team is the option of automated testing of new experiments.
